RESOLUTION NO. 47 - 1992
' RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF
COSTS THEREOF AND AMENDING: STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1992 - 1 & 2
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 35 - 1992 ordered the preliminary plans,
specifications and estimates of the costs thereof for the
improvements in this project, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 36 - 1992 receiving the preliminary report
and called for a public hearing on the matter of the construction
of certain improvements for this project, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 4, 1992, regarding this
project, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 41 -1992 ordered improvement and final plans and
specifications and estimate of costs for Street Improvement Project
ST 1992 -1 &2, and
WHEREAS, Petition No's 9 -1992 and 11, 12, 13, and 14 - 1992 were
received requesting the streets on the petitions be added to the
City's 1992 street reconstruction program, and
' WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to reconstruct
certain streets to maintain in a safe condition and at a reasonable
cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution
No. 35 - 1992 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as
soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix
bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, bikeways,
water and sanitary sewer services, storm sewer system, landscaping,
and other facilities.
2. That the following streets be incorporated in:

Rice Creek Road

Rice Creek Terrace
(MSAS 316) Jefferson Street to Monroe

(MSAS 334) Lynde Drive to Matterhorn Drive
(CSAH 6) Central Avenue to Stinson
(MSAS 333/346) 68th Avenue to Brookview Drive

3. That the work to be performed under this project may be
performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable
upon receipt of bids.
4. That the Public Works Director, John G. Flora, City Hall,
Fridley, Minnesota, is hereby designated as the Engineer for this
improvement. He shall prepare final plans and specifications for
the making of such improvements.
