RES 1993-46 - 00003230-. -_ & , RESOLUTION NO. 46 - 1993 ' A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: 63RD AVENUE BOOSTER STATION PROJECT NO. 250 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has agreed to receive excess water from the City of New Brighton, and WHEREAS, the Department of the Army will fund the improvement costs to connect the City of Fridley and New Brighton's water system, and WHEREAS, a new booster station is required to receive and distribute water to the various zones in the City, and WHEREAS, Maier Stewart and Associates has prepared a plan showing the 63rd Avenue booster station, and WHEREAS, the Department of the Army has approved this construction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the new booster station, and the work involved in said improvement shall hereafter be designated as: The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 1993, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Fridley for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for the 63RD AVENUE BOOSTER STATION PROJECT NO. 250 shall be substantially standard in form. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 21ST DAY OF JUNE, 1993. L % / WILLIAM J. EE - MAYOR ATTEST: L1&21-d C WILLIAM A. The plans and specifications prepared by Maier Stewart and Associates for such improvement and each of them, pursuant to the Council action heretofore, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under 63RD AVENUE BOOSTER STATION PROJECT NO. 250 be performed under one contract. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications.
