RESOLUTION NO. 67 - 1993
' RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, FINAL PLANS AND ESTIMATES
OF COSTS THEREOF AND AMENDING: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.
ST. 1993 - 162
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 54 -1993 ordered the preliminary plans, specifications and
estimates of the costs thereof for the improvements in this project, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 55 -1993 receiving the preliminary report and called for
a public hearing on the matter of the construction of certain improvements for
this project, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 16, 1993, regarding this project,
and
WHEREAS, Petition No. 11 -1993 was received requesting the street on the petition
be added to the City's 1993 street reconstruction program, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to reconstruct certain streets to
maintain in a safe condition and at a reasonable cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution 54 -1993 are
' hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible,
to -wit:
Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix bituminous mat,
concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer system, landscaping, and other facilities.
2. That the following street be incorporated in the 1993 street improvement
project No. ST. 1993 -162.
7th Street from Madison to 900 feet west
3. That the work to be performed under this project may be performed under
one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids.
4. That the Public Works Director, John G. Flora, City Hall, Fridley,
Minnesota, is hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. He
shall prepare final plans and specifications for the making of such
improvements.
