RES 1993-83 - 00003284109 RESOLUTION NO. 83 - 1993 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: 64TH AVENUE STORM WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 260 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 13 and 27, 1993, regarding this project, and WHEREAS, Petition Nos 13 -1993 and 16 -1993 with 53% were received requesting the 64th Avenue Storm Water Project be added to the Fridley/New Brighton Interconnection TCAAP Pipeline Project, and WHEREAS, Resolution 82 -1993 ordered preliminary plans and specifications and estimate of costs for the 64th Avenue Storm Water Improvement Project No. 260, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to perform certain storm water improvements to maintain in a safe condition and at a reasonable cost. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 83 - 1993 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit: Storm sewer improvements, including concrete piping, catch basins, storm pond excavation, and other facilities. 64th Avenue Storm Water Improvement Project No. 260 2. That the work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. That the Public Works Director, John G. Flora, City Hall, Fridley, Minnesota, is hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare final plans and specifications for the making of such improvements. 4. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for (3) three weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state the bids will be opened and considered at 11:00 A.M. ON THE 3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1993, in the Council Chambers of the Fridley Municipal Center and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for 64TH AVENUE STORM WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 260 shall be substantially in the standard form.
