RESOLUTION NO. 75 - 1994
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE POSTING OF "NO TURNS ON RED"
AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 65 AND COUNTY ROAD 35
WHEREAS, there is a fair amount of traffic on County State Aid Highway No. 35,
(CSAH 35) and
WHEREAS, the easterly neighborhood serviced by Hathaway Lane has exits on to
CSAH 35 north of Highway 65, and
WHEREAS, the intersection of Highway 65 and CSAH 35 has restrictive turning
movements during the period of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00
p.m., and
WHEREAS, during the remainder of the day, right turning traffic on CSAH 35
impacts the exiting of Hathaway Lane, and,
WHEREAS, Hathaway Lane provides access to the highway trunk system for a large
neighborhood,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley,
' Anoka County, Minnesota, requests that the Minnesota Department of
Transportation post the intersection of Highway 65 and CSAH 35 with "No Turns
on Red" signs for the northbound traffic.
