RES 1995-92 - 00002979153 RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 1995 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, FINAL PLANS AND ESTIMATES OF COSTS THEREOF: STONYBROOK CREEK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 246 WHEREAS, a petition was received from the residents on Stonybrook Creek on May 15, 1995 and November 27, 1995, and WHEREAS, the petitions request that Stonybrook Creek be upgraded to include partial concrete pipe and partial open ditch, and WHEREAS, the petitions establish an assessment for the improvement at a cost of $2,000 per lot to be assessed over a 15 year period, and WHEREAS, the petitions also waive rights for a notice of a public hearing on this improvement, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need to upgrade this section of Stonybrook Creek to maintain it in a safe condition and at a reasonable cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Petition No. 12 - 1995 are ' hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to wit: Stonybrook Creek improvements including excavation, grading, filling, bank stabilization, settling pools, concrete pipe, storm sewer system, landscaping, and other facilities. 2. That the work to be performed under this project may be performed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advisable upon receipt of bids. 3. That the Public Works Director, John G. Flora, City Hall, Fridley, Minnesota, is hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare final plans and specifications and advertise for the making of such improvements.
