RESOLUTION NO. 25 - 1995
' RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MINNESOTA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR HIGHWAY LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, MnDOT has installed highway lighting in the right -of -way of CSAH 1
(East River Road) , TH 47 (University Avenue) and TH 65 (Central Avenue)at
Interstate Highway No. 694 intersections, and
WHEREAS, it is the City's responsibility for right -of -way lighting on state
and county highways, and
WHEREAS, the City's responsibility consists of maintained illuminators and all
its components and cleaning and relamping of the illuminators as well as the
electrical wiring and fuse kits, and to provide the necessary electrical
energy for the operation of the highway lighting systems, and
WHEREAS, NSP, as an agent of the City, provides for the maintenance of the
illuminators, including replacement and cleaning and relamping, as well as
main electrical wiring and fuse kits based upon the City's paying for the
electrical energy, and
WHEREAS, MnDOT is responsible to perform all other existing highway lighting
system maintenance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City attorney, manager and mayor are hereby
authorized to execute such agreement, and assume for and on behalf of the City
all of the contractual obligations contained therein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the
City Council of
the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, provide certain
maintenance and electrical
energy for
the existing highway lighting systems on
County State Aid
Highway No. 1 (East
River Road) at Trunk Highway No. 694,
on Trunk Highway
No. 47 (University
Avenue) at Trunk Highway No. 694, and on
Trunk Highway No.
65 (Central Avenue)
at Trunk Highway No. 694 in accordance with
the terms and
conditions set forth
and contained in Agreement No. 73143M, a
copy of which was
before the Council,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City attorney, manager and mayor are hereby
authorized to execute such agreement, and assume for and on behalf of the City
all of the contractual obligations contained therein.
