RES 1995-34 - 000028741 RESOLUTION NO. 34 - 1995 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION AWARD THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE BIKEWAY PROJECT, FRIDLEY PROJECT ST. 1995 -6, STATE PROJECT 127- 090 -03 AND SP. 127 - 010 -12, MINNESOTA PROJECT NO. SIP EN 93(012) TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER WHEREAS, the City of Fridley applied for and received ISTEA (Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act) funding for design and construction of a bike /pedestrian path along University Avenue, and WHEREAS, plans and specifications were prepared for the University Avenue bike /pedestrian path along TH 47 from 73rd Avenue northeast to 85th Avenue northeast in Fridley, and WHEREAS, on April 10, 1995 the City Council of the City of Fridley passed a resolution (No. 23 -1994) approving MnDOT limited use permit for the University Avenue Bike path from 73rd Avenue NE to 85th Avenue NE, and WHEREAS, bids for this project were opened on May 24, 1995, and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder was found by MnDOT to be H&M Asphalt Company, and WHEREAS, the City of Fridley understands that their share of the funding is $30,136.66. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: Recommend that the Commissioner of Transportation award the University bike /pedestrian path project from 73rd Avenue northeast to 85th Avenue northeast, Fridley Project No. ST. 1994 -6, State Project SP 127- 090 -03 and SP 127 - 010 -12 and Minnesota Project No. SIP EN93(012) to the lowest responsible bidder.
