RESOLUTION NO. 85 - 1995
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MUNICIPAL STATE AID FUNDS TO
COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY (C.S.A.H.) EAST RIVER ROAD -
HARTMAN CIRCLE TO GLEN CREEK ROAD (S.P. 02- 601 -36)
(S.A.P. 127 - 020 -13 ADDENDUM NO. 1)
WHEREAS, it has been deemed advisable and necessary for Anoka County to
reconstruct the surface of East River Road between Hartman Circle and Glen Creek
Road including grading, Class V, bituminous, concrete curb and gutter,
channelization, signal improvements, internally illuminated street name signs,
EVP, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, sidewalk and miscellaneous improvements, and
WHEREAS, the City previously requested off- system MSAS funds for the City's
participating cost (Resolution No. 28 -1994) in the amount of $295,000, and
WHEREAS, said improvement project (City Street Improvement Project No. 1994 -3)
includes the extension of the 8 -foot bituminous sidewalk on the northerly and
southerly ends from Glen Creek Road to Osborne Road, and Hartman Circle to
Mississippi Street, and
WHEREAS, said construction project is being submitted to the Minnesota
Department of Transportation State Aid Office and identified in its records as
S.A.P. 127 - 020- 13 /S.P. 02- 601 -36. The bituminous sidewalk extensions plan is
being submitted as S.A.P. 127 - 020 -13 Addendum 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, that an appropriation from the Municipal State Aid
Funds in the amount of $15,000 be made to apply to the construction of said
bituminous sidewalk extensions (S.A.P. 127- 020 -13 Addendum No. 1) and request
the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation to approve this
additional appropriation.
