RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION FOR A MINNESOTA LAWFUL
GAMBLING PREMISES PERMIT FOR THE LIONS CLUB OF FRIDLEY AT THE
SHOREWOOD RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 6161 HIGHWAY 65
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has been served with a copy of an Application for a Minnesota
Lawful Gambling Premise Permit to conduct lawful gambling from the Lions Club of Fridley at the
Shorewood Restaurant located at 6161 Highway 65; and
WHEREAS, the city code was recently change to remove the restrictions on the number of sites an
organization may have; and
WHEREAS the Shorewood Restaurant has entered into a Lease for Lawful Gambling with a
Fridley organization;
WHEREAS, the Lions Club of Fridley currently holds a state lawful gambling license and conducts
lawful gambling at Billiard Street Cafe Inc dba Two Stooges Bar and Grill and B.A.M. Inc., dba
Shortstop Fridley; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has found no reason to restrict the location for the charitable
gambling operation; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota requires a resolution approving the premise permit application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fridley approves the
Minnesota Lawful Gambling Premise Permit Application to Conduct Lawful Gambling for the
Lions Club of Fridley at the Shorewood Restaurant located at 6161 Highway 65, Fridley,
Minnesota.
