RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR WATER RATE CHANGE
WHEREAS, Section 402.20 of the City Cade provides that the City Council shall have the
authority to set water rates by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide an increase of revenue in order to achieve the breakeven
paint within the Water Fund for 2012; and
WHEREAS, this year's recommended rate increase will not achieve the Fund's breakeven paint
for 2012, the rate increase will move the fund closer to breaking even in the near future; and
WHEREAS, this rate increase will still result in a net lass of approximately $163,000; and
WHEREAS, future annual increases are necessary to achieve long -term solvency of the Water
Fund; and
WHEREAS, the fallowing rate structure and rates are to be effective with the first billing in
2012.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the fallowing water rate schedule for all customers shall
be as follows for the year 2012:
