A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE CITY'S MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT
RATE AT AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO THAT OF THE CURRENT IRS STANDARD
MILEAGE RATE
WHEREAS, there has been a change in the mileage rate change of the Internal Revenue Service
guidelines; and
WHEREAS, over the past several years the Internal Revenue Service has increased the standard
mileage rate more than once a year to adjust for the fluctuating prices of fuel casts which requires a
new resolution establishing a reimbursement rate consistent with the Internal Revenue Service
standard; and
WHEREAS, the practice of the City has been to adapt a resolution when a new Internal Revenue
Service rate has been changed; and
WHEREAS an adjustment of the standard mileage rate for the City of Fridley is warranted to meet
the standards of the IRS rates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby
authorizes the city's mileage reimbursement rate for employees of the city of Fridley be set at an
amount equal to that of the current Internal Revenue Service standard mileage rate.
