A RESOLUTION APPROVING "CORRIDORS OF OPPORTUNITY" PRINCPLES
WHEREAS, several regional transit systems traverse the City of Fridley, making Fridley part of the
Metropolitan Council's Corridors of Opportunity initiative; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has many law income and disabled households living in the
Northstar Corridor area that need transit for access to jabs and their housing; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley shares the Metropolitan Council's goals of expanding the transit
system and aligning regional transit planning with local engineering and land use planning; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has participated in various HUD- funded Corridors of Opportunity
projects in an effort to provide more transit opportunities for those with the greatest need;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fridley approves the
Corridors of Opportunity principles as listed in Exhibit A.
