RES 1960-117 - 00012845 (2)RESOLUTION NO. 117 - 1960 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PREPARATION OF ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR IMPROVEMENT - S&W #22 -1959 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, ANOKA _COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. It is hereby determined that the assessible cost of con - struction with respect to the following named improve- ment, to -wit: SEWER AND WATER IMPROVEMENT #22 -1959 including all incidental expenses thereto is in the sum of $285,203.94. 2. The City Manager with the assistance of the Treasurer shall forthwith calculate the proper amounts to be spe- cially assessed for said improvement against every asses - sible lot, piece or parcel of land benefited by said im- provement according to law. 'Afiner RESOLUTION NO. 118 - 1960 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF AND PROVIDING FOR A TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF NORMAL CITY CHARTER TAX LIMITS BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Fridley hereto- fore received from the City Manager a proposed budget of the City of Fridley for the year 1961, which proposed budget when examined evidenced the necessity for an additional tax levy in excess of the City Charter limits and, accordingly, there was then adopted on the 19th day of July, a resolution declaring the necessity for an additional tax levy and specifying the pur- pose for which such additional tax levy is required. FURTHER, upon the receipt of such proposed budget and the adoption of the resolution dated the 19th day of July, the Council proceeded to hold a public hearing pursuant to three (3) weeks oub- liehed notice in the official newspaper of tie !'ity, setting forth the contents of the resolution noted herein. That such public hear- ing was held on the 21st day of September, and all persons interest- ed therein were afforded an opportunity to he heard and make objec- tions, if any there be, to the budget as then nr000sed. That after such hearing and after full discussion of the contents of the bud- get and all objections thereto the Council further proceeded to correct and amend the budget in such way as was deemed necessary by the Council to be in the best interests of the City; and after such corrections and amendments the Council did pass and adopt by Ordi- nance on the 4th day of October 1960, a budget for the City of Frid- ley for the operation of its business during the year 1961, a copy of which budget is attached hereto for reference purposes as Exhi- bit "A ".
