RES 1960-126 - 00012853 (2)RESOLUTION N0. 125 - 1960 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES WHEREAS, the electors of the City of Fridley, resident in Ward One are now so numerous that it is desirable to the orderly and convenient procedure of any election that two or more sepa- rate polling places are established in said Ward for the purpose of voting at any election. BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That the Council does hereby designate the following named places as polling places for the electors in Ward One of the City: a. For all the electors in said Ward who are resident within the area as follows: Bounded on the north by the North City Limits, the east by the East City Limits, the west by the Mississippi River and the south by Rice Creek and Locke Lake. the polling place is Woodcrest School, 880 Osborne Road N.E. b. For all the electors in said Ward resident in the area as follows: Bounded on the north by Rice Creek and Locke Lake, on the east by Highway #65, on the west by Highway #56 and on the south by 61st Avenue N.E. and Moore Lake. the polling place is Hayes School, 615 Mississippi Street N.E. 2. The first polling place above designated shall be termed as Precinct 1 and the second polling place above desig- nated shall be termed as Precinct 2. 3. That such polling places shall be herewith immediately es- tablished and shall be the place of voting for the electors in said Ward on the General election to be held on the 8th day of November, 1960 and thereafter until another designa- tion is made. Bruns ' RESOLUTION NO. 126 - 1960 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFI- CATIONS STORM SEWER AND STREETS - FILLMORE AND BUCHANAN STREETS WHEREAS, Resolution #51 -1960 of the City Council adopted the 3rd day of May, 1960 and Resolution #114 -1960 of the City Council adopted the 20th day of September, 1960, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A" (Exhibit "A" - see Publication Notices under dates of September 22nd and September 29th, 1960.), and WHEREAS, All of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publica- tions of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution #51 -1960 and Resolution #114 -1960 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit: a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A") in said notice. That the work above may be consolidated with other areas as one improvement. 2. The work to be performed under this project may be per- formed under one or more contracts as may be deemed ad- visable upon receipt of bids. 3. Comstock and Davis, Consulting Engineers, are hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement. They shall prepare final plans and specifications for the making of such improvements. Gre g ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 127 - 1960 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY IMPROVE - MENT BONDS IN ACCORDAivCE WITH LAWS OF 19572 CHAPTER 385. BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: Section 1. The total estimated cost of Seiner and Water Improve - ment Project #29 -1960 has been estimated at $90,000.00. Section 2. It is now estimated that the sum of $90,000.00 is currently necessary to provide financing of the projects above noted, and it is hereby determined to be neces- sary to borrow said amount for the payment of obligations now in- curred and for expenses necessarily incurred in connection with the construction of said improvement projects. Section 3. Street Surfacing, including stabilized base, grading, graveling, blacktopping, curb and gutter, serving all of the area described as follows: 1. That property adjacent and abutting thereof on 53rd Avenue N.E. from Fillmore to Johnson; Fillmore to 53rd to 507 Feet South; Pierce from 53rd to 507 Feet South; Buchanan from 53rd to South Corporate Limits and Lincoln Street from 53rd to Buchanan. ESTIMATEDCOST ................... .....................$ 30,395.00 THAT TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS ........... $ 50,205.00 THAT THE AREA TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAD IMPROVEMENTS ( AND EACH OF THEM ) IS AS FOLLOWS: FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A, ABOVE: The area described in Paragraph A, Subdivision 1, above.
