A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS
STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY #56
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Highways has prepared. preliminary
plans for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 156, re-
numbered as Trunk Highway 56 within the corporate limits of the City
of Fridley from the north corporate limits to 1,000 feet South of
the North corporate limits, and
WHEREAS, said preliminary plans are on file in the office of
the Department of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked,
labeled and identified as Layout 5E, T.H. 10 & 56 (S.P. 0205 -111)
(56 -156), vicinity of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, copies of said preliminary plans as so marked, labeled
and identified are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the term "said preliminary plans" as hereinafter used
in the body of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean,
refer to and incorporate the preliminary plans as in the foregoing
recitals particularly identified and described;
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED, that said preliminary plans for the
improvement of Trunk Highway Number 156 renumbered Trunk Highway
Number 56 within the limits of the City of Fridley be and hereby
are approved.

RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 1960
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS: (INNSBRUCK FIRST AND SECOND ADDITIONS)
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to
be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners
affected thereby.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as
follows:
1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock & Davis,
Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accept-
ed.
2. That this Council will meet on the 6th day of September
1960, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in the City
of Fridley for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing on
the improvements noted in the Notice attached hereto and
made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A ". (Exhibit "A"
see Publication Notices under dates of August 18th and
August 25th, 1960).
3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improve-
ments and each of them as noted in said notice are all
the lands and areas as noted in'said notice: all of the
same to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received.
4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give
notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice
thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley
according to law, such notice to be substantially in
the form and substance of the notice attached hereto as
Exhibit "A ".

RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 1960
A PESOLUTION ORDERING IMPRO"EMENT AND FINAL PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS - 1960 STREET SURFACING
WHEREAS, Resolution #84-1960 of the City Council adopted
the 19th day of July, 1960, set the date for hearing on the pro-
posed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hear-
ing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "All (Exhibit "A" -
see Publication Notices under dates of July 21st and July 28th,
1960), and
WHEREAS, All of the property owners -whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in.
said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the
Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the re-
quired notice, and the hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City
of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council
Resolution #84-1960 are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ")
in said notice.
That the work above may be consolidated with other areas
as one improvement.
2. The work to be performed under this project may be per -
formed under one or more contracts as may be deemed ad-
visable upon receipt of bids.
3. The Public Works Department of the City of Fridley is
hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement.
They shall prepare final plans and specifications for
the making of such improvements.

1960 -2 Streets
CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements
hereinafter described be made.
P?OW, ,zMREFORF, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 6th day of
September, 1960, at ?:30 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at
the City Hall in said City and will at said time, and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements is the construction ( in
the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEMS
A. Street Improvements, including concrete surfacing, grading, storm
sewer and related work, serving all of the area described as follows:
All the streets, alleys, drives, lanes, boulevards and roads in
Innsbruck First and Innsbruck Second Additions.
ESTIMATED COST ......... ..............................$ 111,669.00
THAT THE AREA TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS (AND EACH OF THEM)
IS AS FOLLOWS --
FOR CONSTRUCTION ITEM A ABOVE:
All of the lands abutting upon said streets named above and all
the lands located in Innsbruck First Addition and Innsbruck Second
Addition and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said lands to be assessed proportionately according to the
benefits received by such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate Improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided
by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit: Minnesota
laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity
with the City Charter.
