RESOLUTION NO. 140 -1962
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFI-
CATIONS - STREET SURFACING - STREETS 1962 -2B (RIVER EDGE WAY)
WHEREAS, Resolution #124 -1962 of the City Council adopted
the 4th day of September, 1962, set the date for hearing on
the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice
of Hearing attached hereto for reference as Exhibit "A?, and
WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is
liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements
(as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days mailed
notice and published notice of the Council hearing through two
(2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hear-
ing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the
hearing, as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE -IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City
of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council
Resolution #124 -1962 are hereby ordered to be effected
and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit:
a. All of the improvements as noted in the notice of
hearing on the same as are noted (in Exhibit "A ")
in said notice attached hereto for reference.
That the work above may be consolidated with other.areas
as one improvement.
2. The work to be performed under this project may be per-
formed under one or more contracts as may be deemed advi-
sable upon receipt of bids.

WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted on
the 4th day of September, 1962, set the date for hearing on
the proposed improvements, as specifically noted in the notice
of hearing attached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A ", and,
WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable
to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted
in said notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of
the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the
required notice, and the hearing was held and the property
owners heard thereon at the hearing as noted in said notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the

Engineer, Calvin G. Brown, P.E., for such improvements
and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions
heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and speci-
fications are hereto attached and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City
Clerk.

CITY OF FRIDLEY
NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County,
Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements,
hereinafter described be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 17th day of
September, 1962, at 8:00 P.M., the City Uouncil will meet at the
City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all
parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.
The general nature of the improvements in the construction
(in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improve-
ments, to -wit:
CONSTRUCTION ITEM (ST 1962 -2B)
A. Street base and surfacing (bituminous) and concrete curb and
gutter and aprurtenant work located in all the streets and
serving all the area described as follows:
(1) River Edge Way - West leg and South leg.
ESTIMATED COST ......... ..............................$ 239060.00
THAT T'T AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS
FOLIOWS:
FOR CONSTRUCTICN ITEM A. ABOVE:
All of the land abutting upon said street named above and all
lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto.
All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to
the benefits received b-• such improvements.
That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improve-
ments as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise pro -
vided by the Council all under the following authority, to -wit:
Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 308 and laws amendatory thereof, and
in conformity with the City Charter.
