EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, OF A RF,GUTA R MEETING HELD JULY 2, 1962 AT B:OO O1CLOCK P.M., AT THE CITY MALL, CITY OF FRIDLEY, A 0KA COUNTY, MINNESOTA. The matter of the construction of certain improvements, and the hearings held heretofore on the same were discussed, and Council being fully advised in the matter, Councilman Nee introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION N0. 62 -7962 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS. WHEREAS, the resolution of the City Council adopted on the t+th' day of June, 1962, set the date for hearing of the proposed improve- ments, as specifically noted In the notice of hearing attached hereto for reference as EXHIBIT "A," and, WHEREAS, all the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said - notice) were given ten (10) days published notice of the Co rcil hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows: 1, That the following improvements heretofore proposed by Council resolution are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonable possible, to -wit: (a) All of the improvements as noted in the notice of hearing on the same as are noted (Exhibit "A" in said notice) ex- cept (none); that the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: SANITARY SETTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 59 F� 1 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for such improvements and each of them, *pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part w hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. , 7t 3. The work to be performed under SANITARY SEWER IMPROVIIAFLi,T PROJECT N0. 59 -19621 shall be performed under one contract. The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifi- cations. The advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at o'clock, , on the day of , 1962, in the council chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk, and accompanied;}.a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five oercent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for SANITARY S1'7ATEP IMPPOVKMEi�T PROJECT NO. 59 - 1962 shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part thereof. The Council finds that the lowest responsible bidder for construction of the improvement work designated as: e`��NZ1 Project No. 58 (Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer and Water) P��CEK'�R. is Bianconi Construction Company, 986 Bayard Avenue, SSE 'OvSER St. Paul 21 Minnesota; whose bid is in the amount of $41,787.40 to be completed in 90 days. That said bid is hereby accepted, and the City Manager and Mayor in office on date of execution of the contract are hereby author- ized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for and in behalf of the City of Fridley. GREIG MAYOR RESOLUTION NO. 62 EXHIBIT "B" NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and considered by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager in said City on the 15th day of October, 1962, at 12 :00 Noon for the furnishing of work and materials for the installat'_on of ;later and Sanitary Sewer Impvovement Project Number 59. The project consists of the following approximate quantities: 2,600 Lin. -Ft. 8" and 6" Sanitary Sewer Lines with appurtenances. 2,200 Lin. Ft. 6" and 1" Water Lines with appurtenances All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 1446 Co_mty Road "J ", Minneapolis 32, Minnesota, Tele ^hone: SUnset 4 -9436. The City Council.reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
