Res 2002-28 RESOLUTION NO. 28 - 2002 RESOLUTION APPROVING RENEWAL OF PUBLIC SCHOOL INSPECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF FRIDLEY AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota provides fire code training free of charge to fire department inspectors in exchange for the fire department's agreement to conduct fire code inspections at public schools within their jurisdiction pursuant to the authority in Minnesota Statutes, Section 121.1502; and WHEREAS, the City of Fridley(the"City") and the State of Minnesota(the "State")had previously entered into such an original agreement on January 8, 1991; and WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is for a two-year period which the City has consistently renewed with the State and the term of the current Agreement expired on December 31, 2001; and WHEREAS, if approved, the term of the new Agreement will commence immediately and expire on December 31, 2004. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby approves the renewal of the Public School Inspection Agreement between the City of Fridley and the State of Minnesota and authorizes the mayor and city manager to execute the Agreement.
