Res 2002-36 RESOLUTION NO.36-2002
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR THE 2002 PRIMARY AND
GENERAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS,the City of Fridley was required to redistrict due to the 2000 Census;and
WHEREAS,the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1165 and Emergency Ordinance No. E-34 to establish
the new boundaries;and
WHEREAS, a new precinct was established as a result of redistricting and the City of Fridley must provide
polling locations for each precinct.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley:
SECTION 1. That on the 10th day of September 2002 and the 5th day of November, 2002, there shall
be a Statewide Primary and General Election:
SECTION 2. That the polling locations for said election shall be established as follows:
Ward 1 Precinct 1 Grace Evangelical Free Church
Ward 1 Precinct 2 Hayes Elementary School
Ward 1 Precinct 3 Fridley Municipal Center
Ward 1 Precinct 4 Fridley Community Center
Ward 2 Precinct 1 Woodcrest Elementary School
Ward 2 Precinct 2 Knights of Columbus
Ward 2 Precinct 3 St.Philip's Lutheran church
Ward 2 Precinct 4 North Park Elementary School, Gym 1
Ward 2 Precinct 5 North Park Elementary School, Gym 2
Ward 3 Precinct 1 Springbrook Nature Center
Ward 3 Precinct 2 Redeemer Lutheran church
Ward 3 Precinct 3 Stevenson Elementary School
Ward 3 Precinct 4 Fridley Covenant Church
SECTION 3. That the polling location will be open from 7:00 a.m.to 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of voting:
