RESOLUTION NO. 106 - 1997
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY, MINNESOTA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN
THE JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR THE FORMATION
AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE ANOKA-HENNEPIN EM NARCOTICS
AND VIOLENT CRIMES TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has passed a resolution electing to
participate in the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes
Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 471.59 authorizes governmental units
to jointly or cooperatively exercise any power common to the
contracting parties; and
WHEREAS, signing of the joint powers agreement is mandatory for
participation in the Anoka-Hennepin Narcotics and Violent Crimes
Task Force.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Fridley authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to enter
into the agreement by signing the joint powers agreement.
