Res 1997-11 RESOLUTION NO. 11 - 1997
RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MUNICIPAL STATE-AID FUNDS TO
A MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, The State of Minnesota Department of Transportation is proposing a
project to interconnect traffic control signal equipment on Highway 65, and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed advisable and necessary for the City of Fridley to
participate in the Minnesota Department of Transportation signal improvement
project along the Highway 65 corridor to enhance the traffic control sequencing
of signals, and
WHEREAS, said construction project is being submitted to the Minnesota
Department of Transportation State Aid office and identified in its records as
S.P. No. 0207-68 and S.A.P. 127-030-01.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
County of Anoka, that the interconnect line between the intersections described
as follows, to wit:
Termini
Highway 65 West Moore Lake Drive to Old Central
Highway 65 West Moore Lake Drive to East Moore Lake Drive
Highway 65 Mississippi Street
Highway 65 73rd Avenue
Highway 65 Osborne Road
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, that an appropriation from the Municipal State-Aid Funds in
the amount of $17,541.58 be made to apply toward certain construction of said
project and request the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation approve
this appropriation.
