Res 1997-27 RESOLUTION NO. 27 - 1997 RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING MUNICIPAL STATE-AID FUNDS FOR THE ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF A JOINT CITY OF FRIDLEY AND MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, The City of Fridley and the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation is proposing a project to improve the traffic control, signal equipment, and lane channelization on Highway 65 at I-694 and Lake Pointe intersections, and WHEREAS, it has been deemed advisable and necessary for the City of Fridley to participate in the Minnesota Department of Transportation intersection improvement project on Highway 65 at I-694 and Lake Pointe Drive, and WHEREAS, said construction project is being submitted to the Minnesota Department of Transportation State Aid office and identified in its records as S.P. No. 0207-68 and S.A.P. 127-010-13 and ST. 1996-7, and WHEREAS, the City has agreed to complete the preliminary and final design for the State in order to expedite the project completion, and WHEREAS, the federally funded project requires 20% matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, County of Anoka, that the intersection described as follows, to wit: Termini Highway 65 TH 65 from the south ramps of I-694 to Lake Pointe Drive in the City of Fridley BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, that an appropriation from the Municipal State- Aid Funds in the amount of $719, 800.00 be made to apply toward design, engineering and construction of said project and request the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation approve this appropriation.
