RESOLUTION NO. 31 - 1997
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SIGNING AND
AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL
AGENCY TO PROCEED WITH THE SPRINGBROOK
SUBWATERSHED RESOURCE INVESTIGATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has endeavored to evaluate the cause of
degradation in the water quality in the Springbrook Subwatershed; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has joined in partnership with the Cities
of Coon Rapids, Spring Lake Park, and Blaine to investigate the water
quality and quantity issues in the Springbrook Subwatershed; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has been selected to receive financial and
technical assistance through a Clean Water Partnership Resource
Investigation Grant for the Springbrook Subwatershed;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, that the City of
Fridley enter into the attached Grant Agreement with the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to conduct the following project:
Springbrook Subwatershed Resource Investigation Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council, that the City Manager be
authorized to execute the attached Grant Agreement for the above-
"' project on behalf of the City of Fridley.
