Res 1997-59 RESOLUTION NO. 59 -1997 OO,O RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ANOKA COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES, INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT AND PARKS DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS this past July 1, 1997, the City of Fridley experienced an extraordinary wind storm resulting in the damage of many trees, and WHEREAS these damaged trees required removal and disposal, and WHEREAS the damaged trees from both residential and commercial properties resulted in a considerable disposal problem, and WHEREAS the Anoka County Emergency Services Office in cooperation with the Integrated Waste Management Office and the Anoka County Parks Department, opened the County' s brush burn site, and WHEREAS the opening of the brush burn site allowed the City, without charge, to dispose of all the trees and brush that were picked up in the City. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, to commend the Anoka County Board and the Emergency Services and Integrated Waste Management Offices as well as the Parks Department for their consideration and support in providing the County burn site for disposal of the damaged and destroyed trees from the City of Fridley.
