RESOLUTION NO. 37 - 1996
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $1,000,000 FROM
THE CLOSED BOND FUND TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND IN
ORDER TO FUND PARK IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley provides neighborhood parks to meet the needs of
its citizens, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Resolution No. 95-1994 which states the
City's commitment to upgrading its parks in a manner that provides modern, safe
and handicapped accessible playground equipment, and
WHEREAS, the City's five year capital improvement plan does not provide the
resources necessary to upgrade the City's park system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley
hereby authorizes transferring $1,000,000 from the Closed Bond Fund to the Parks
Division of the Capital Improvement Fund to fund the required park improvements.
