Res 1996-42 00C SO RESOLUTION NO. 42 - 1996 RESOLUTION RECEIVING FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: 1996 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1996 - 1&2 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 9 - 1996 ordered the preliminary plans, specifications and estimates of the costs thereof for the improvements in this project, and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11 - 1996 received the preliminary engineering report and set a public hearing for the improvements in this project, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 18, 1996 regarding this project, and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 41 - 1996 ordered final plans and estimates of costs for this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 9 - 1996 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to-wit: Street improvements including grading, stabilized base, hot-mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer system, water and sanitary sewer services, landscaping, and other facilities located as follows: ST. 1996 - 1 (NON-MSAS) Overlays Highway No. 65 East Service Road to 73rd Avenue 732 Avenue West of cul-de-sac off Pine Tree Lane to 72nd Avenue 67th Avenue Brookview through cul-de-sac Ashton Avenue 193 feet north of Ely Street to Ironton Street Oakley Street 550 feet north to 600 feet north ST. 1996 - 2 (MSAS) Reconstruction Alden Way Osborne Way north to 79th Way 77th Way East River Road east to Burlington Northern RR Tracks STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1996 - 1&2 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Department for such improvements and each of them pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part thereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with City Clerk. ()(X)61, IIIPage 2 -- Resolution No. 42 - 1996 The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify the work to be done and will state the bids will be opened and considered in the Council Chambers of the Fridley Municipal Center and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1996 - 1&2 shall be substantially in the standard form.
