Res 1996-43 (YIP 5" RESOLUTION NO. 43 - 1996 RESOLUTION REQUESTING INFILTRATION AND IN-FLOW FUNDS FROM THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services is offering matching loans for projects and grant money for studies to communities for infiltration/in-flow control programs, and WHEREAS, Fridley being a community with an older sewer system and has some areas where studies and/or projects could benefit the City and result in a reduction of flow to the Metropolitan sewer, and WHEREAS, monies are available in the amount of $12,500 to match funds for infiltration projects from the Metropolitan Environmental Services, and WHEREAS, an infiltration and in-flow study of the City s sewer system is an appropriate grant application. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, will provide $12,500 matching funds for an infiltration and in-flow study within the City of Fridley. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Public Works Director shall prepare an application for a matching fund grant from the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services Division to present to the Metropolitan Council for acceptance.
