Res 1996-114 RESOLUTION NO. 114 - 1996
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDED JOINT COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT OF THE SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Suburban Rate Authority has represented the City on public utility
activities associated with sewage, gas, electricity and telecommunications, and
WHEREAS, the Suburban Rate Authority is establishing a temporary membership
category, and
WHEREAS, the agreement and bylaws establishing the Suburban Rate Authority
requires amendment to incorporate temporary membership, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to continue membership in the
Suburban Rate Authority to monitor the operation and activities of public
utilities in the metropolitan area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, that the amended Joint Cooperative Agreement
establishing the Suburban Rate Authority (SRA) is approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute this agreement on behalf of the City of Fridley.
