Res 1963-01 1 RESOLUTION NO. 1-1963 RESOLUTION DECLARING EXISTENCE OF A VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL OF FRIDLEY WHEREAS, William J. Nee, incumbent Councilman from the Frist Ward has been elected to serve as Mayor of the City of Fridley, and WHEREAS, said Councilman William J. Nee was elected on November 8,1960 to serve as Councilman from Ward #1 for the period of January 3, 1961 to January 2, 1964, and WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Fridley, Chapter 2, Section 2.05, Vacancies in the Council, provides for the filling of vacancies in the Council by appointment, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley: 1 . That William J. Nee has assumed the office and duties of Mayor of the City of Fridley. 2. That accordingly the Council hereby declares a vacancy to exist in the office of Councilman, First Ward, City of Fridley. 3. That the Council shall proceed to fill the office of Councilman First Ward,City of Fridley by appointment until the next regular municipal election, at which time the office shall be filled for the unexpired term, in accordance with Section 2.05, Chapter 2, of said Charter . RK RESOLUTION NO. 2-1963 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE NORTH SUBURBAN SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT FOR THE YEAR 1963. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY: SECTION 1: That pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 1961, Extra Session, Chapter 90, Section 5, Subdivision 2, the Council of the City of Fridley makes the following selection and appointment, to-wit: That William J. Nee is hereby appointed from among the members of the Council of the City of Fridley as a member of the Board of Trustees of the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District to serve on said Board of Trustees of the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District during the year 1963 and until his successor is appointed and qualified. That before commencing said service on said Board of Trustees, the said appointee shall qualify for said service as required by law.
