Res 1963-05 3 RESOLUTION NO. 5-1963 RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THREE POLICE CARS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City of purchase the following items or materials: THREE POLICE PATROL CARS 2 . A copy of the plans and specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be re- quired by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3 . The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened at 12: 00 o'clock noon on the 4th day of February, 1963 . The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least 15 days or through two (2) publications in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. Fund 366.35 SW-38 1,618.49 SW-38 1,618.49 SS-40 406 .08 1961-1 Street 445 .05 RT'SOLUTION NO. 5 EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLE'Y NOTICE OF BID POLICE PATROL CARS The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on three Police cars on the 4th day of °ebruary, 1963, until 12:00 o 'clock noon on said date. All bids must m et the - inimum require- ments of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than 5 of the bid, which check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 1005 performance bond after his bid has been accented. The City reserves the right to accent the rid which is deter- mined to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all informalities or technicalities in any bid. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as the time of delivery or performance, experience and responsibility of the bidder, past performance of similar types of item or materials, availability or replacement parts, and other similar factors that it may determine in the rest interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the City r'anaeer, or copies may be ob- tained from ' is office.
