ONE 2z TON DUMP TRUCK (for street department) ONE 2 TON PICK-UP TRUCK (for street department) ONE z TON PICK-UP TRUCK (for water and sewer department and street department) 2. A copy of the plans and specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City Council on the 4th day of March, 1963. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be published at least 15 days or through two (2) publications in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley. 4. Authorization is hereby given for the purchase of the existing Street Department #4 Dump Truck by the Water Department at a depreciated cost to be determined by the City Manager and the City Engineer and the transfer of said amount to the Street Capital Outlay Fund from the Water Fund. OF BIDS DUMP TRUCKS & PICKUP TRUCKS The City Council of the City of Fridley will accept bids on one 21- Ton Dump Truck and two ti Ton Pick-up Trucks on the 4th day of March, 1263 until 12:00 o'clock noon on said date at the City Hall , 6431 University Avenue N.4% , Fridley 21, Minnesota, (Tel: 560-3450) . All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid or Lids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than 5`= of the bid or bids, ul-ich check or bond shall be forfeited if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract, or to furnish a 100; performance bond after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid or bids which are determined to he in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive all in- formalities or technicalities in any bid. The City Council also rrserves the right to consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience and res- ponsibility of the bider, past performances of similar ty-)es of items or material, availability of replacement parts, and other similar factors that it may determine in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the Office of the City Engineer, or copies may be obtained from his office. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and Plainly Ranked on the outside that the contents is a bid on Dump Truck and Pick-Up Trucks.
