Brunsell NEWS: JULY 3, 10, 1963 RESOLUTION NO. 115-1963 A RESOLUTION TO THE MEMORY OF ERNEST MADSEN WHEREAS, Ernest Madsen has given many years of dedicated service to the City and people of Fridley, both in his capacity as f-rmer City Manager and as a citizen of the City, and WHEREAS, Mr. Madsen's contribution to the development of the City of Fridley as one of the leading Twin City Suburban communities is inestimable, and WHEREAS, the City Council of Fridley has noted with regret the death of this distinguished citizen on the 9th day of July, 1963, NOW, THERTFORE, PE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley: • 1. It is the sense of this Council that Ernest Madsen has honored the City of Fridley by his being a part of the City's formation as City Manager and by being a citizen and businessman with a deep feeling of social responsibility in the community. 2. This Council wishes and hereby does honor the memory of Mr. Madsen and directs that the records of the City show for all time, by this Resolution, the feelings of this Council and the people of Fridley in commemoration of his efforts in our behalf. 3. It is directed that this Resolution be suitably framed and presented to the family of Mr. Madsen in token that the people of the City of Fridley share in the loss of Ernest Madsen and in the grief at his passing. Brunsell ...312gLELT1111.... 111a__ A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAN B -- JOINT STORM DRAINAGE STUDY, FRIDLEY, COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT Upon the recommendation of Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineer for rhe City of Fridley: IT IS RESOLVED, by the City of Fridley that approval is given to Plan B as set forth in Amendment No. 1 to Preliminary Report Joint Storm Drainage Study -- Fridley, Columbia Heights, Minnesota Highway Department (of Nots. 1961) as prepared by: RALPH D. THOMAS & ASSOCIATES, INC. June 1963 providing concurrence in sad plan is obtained from the City of Columbia Heights, the Minnesota Highway Department, and further provided that suitable means of financing said project can be developed for the City and the appropriate cost sharing worked out.
