Res 1963-125 109 RESOLUTION NO. 125-1963 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS (STORM SEWER PROJECT NO. 53 - POLK STREET, LYNDE DRIVE TO THE SOUTH) WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting Engineers, is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 30th day of September, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice attached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received. 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be substantially in the form and sub- stance of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Brunsell RESOLUTION NO. 125 EXHIBIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the 30th day of September, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said time, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to-wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEM: A. Storm Sewer and Appurtenances located in all of the streets and serving all of the area described as follows: Polk Street - Lynde Drive to the South. An area lying south of Lynde Drive, east of T.7. No. 65, north of T.V. No. 694 (Highway #100), and West of the extension of Fillmore St. ESTIMATED $2,840.00 That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: 1 1 0 TEXHInIT "A" (cont) For Construction Item A, above: All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands within, adjacent and abutting thereto. Al] of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such imlrovements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as separate improvements except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council all under the following authority, to-wit: Minnesota Laws 1953, Chapter 398 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Chartet. Nee ATTEST: 42' /7 CITY MANAGER - Earl -1thargmr NEWS: Sept. 11, 18, 1963 RESOLUTION NO. 126-1963 RESOLUTION FOR A PRIMARY ELECTION IN 1963 WHEREAS, it appears that at least 5 persons have filed for the office of Councilman or the 3rd ward for the Municipal election in the City of Fridley to be held on November 5, 1963, AND WHEREAS, it appears that 3 or more persons may file for the City-wide election for Municipal Judge and that 3 or more persons may file for the office of CoUncilman for the 1st ward for the Municipal election in the City of Fridley to be held on November 5, 1963; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows: 1. That P primary election for the City of Fridley be held on Tuesday October 1, 1963. 2. That the primary election be for the office of Councilman for the 3rd ward; and for the office of Councilman for the 1st ward if three or more persons file for same; and for the office of Municipal Judge if three or more persons file for the same; and for the office of Special Judge if three or more persons file for the same. 3. That the City Clerk shall give at least 15 days notice of the time and places of holding such election, the names of the can- didates who have filed, and of the offices to be elected, by posting a notice thereof in at least one public place in each voting precinct and by publishing a notice thereof at least once, prior to said primary election, in the official newspaper of the City.
