Res 1963-171 1154 RESOLUTION NO. 170-1963 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF ST. PAUL BY THE CITY OF FRIDLEY CONCERNING A PAYMENT IN LIEU OF WATER AND SEWER ASSESSMENTS. WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of St. Paul, Minnesota, has certain property together with structures and dwellings on the same that is presently or will in the future be served with water and sewer service by the City of Fridley, and WHEREAS, an agreement has been drawn purporting to determine the cost and the conditions for such service, • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that the Mayor and the City Manager be authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Fridley the said agreement dated November, 4, 1963. (ST. 1963-2) WTFREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the inter-st of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That the preliminary report submitted by the Anoka County Engineer is hereby received and accepted. 2. That this Council will meet on the 18th day of November, 1963, at 8:00 otclock P.M., at the City Hall in the City of Fridley for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the improvement noted in the Notice Atached hereto and made a part thereof by reference, Exhibit "A". 3. That the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them as noted in said notice are all the lands and areas as noted in said notice: All of the same to be assessed propor- tionately according to the benefits received. 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to give notice of such public hearing by publishing a notice thereof in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley according to law, such notice to be substantially in the form and substance of this notice attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Brunsell , 155 TI.'880LUTION NO. 171 VIITtIT "A" CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, has deemed it necessary and expedient that the improvements hereinafter described be made. NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on the lath day of November, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council will meet at the City Hall in said City, and will at said tim6, and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part. The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands • and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to-wit: CONSTRUCTION ITEM: A. Concrete curb and gutter located in all of the following streets and serving all of the area described as follows: 1. Old Central Avenue Northeast (CSAH #35) from Mississippi Street Northeast (CSAH #6) to Osborne Road Northeast (CSAH #8). THAT THE TOTAT ESTIMATED COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT IS:.....$ 8,500.00 THAT THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: For Construction Item A, above: All of the land abutting upon said streets named above and all lands adjacent and abutting thereto. All of said land to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvements. That the Council proposes to proceed with each of said improvements as separate improvements, except as hereafter otherwise provided by the Council all under the following authority, to-wit: Minnesota Laws 1961, Chapter 429 and laws amendatory thereof, and in conformity with the City Charter. Brunsell • RESOLUTION NO. l72-i963 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY WHEREAS, Lester Chesney, the 6uperintendent of Public Works, reports that the City has a quantity of junk iron that has no value to the City and should be disposed of, and also a jeep plow which is deteriorating which the City has no use for and which has a value of approximately $45.n01 and WHEREAS, the City of Coon Rapids is interested in acquiring the jeep plow for the sum of $45.00, NOV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of November, 1963, that the City Manager be authorized and directed to sell and deliver posession to the City of Coon Rapids for one jeep plow for the sum of $45.00, and further that the Superintendent of Public Works be authorized and directed to negotiate and sell for the best price available the junk iron which has no further value or use to the City.
