RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 64
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR WATER, SEWER, STORM WATER AND
RECYCLING RATE CHANGES
WHEREAS, Section 402.20 and 113.11 of the City Code provides that the City Council shall have the
authority to set water, sewer, storm water and solid waste abatement (recycling) rates by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide an increase of revenue in order for the utility and solid waste
abatement funds to be self-sustaining without relying on debt to fund ordinary capital outlay, and to
maintain low to moderate rate increases; and
WHEREAS, the following rate structure and rates are to be effective with the first billing in 2018.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the following water, sewer, storm water and recycling fee
schedules for all customers shall be as follows for the year 2018:

2018 Storm Water Fee and Structure
Fee to increase from $26.80 in 2017 to $27.74 in 2018 per acre per quarter – Residential lots are
defined to be 1/3 of an REF (Residential Equivalency Factor) acre, which equates to $9.24 per
quarter for residential properties in 2018 (was $8.93 in 2017).
2018 Solid Waste Abatement Fee and Structure
Fee to increase from $7.86 in 2017 to $8.20 in 2018 per quarter – Fee is per residential dwelling unit
up to 12 units per property.
