Environmental Fun Fair Planning

A planning meeting for the Environmental Fun Fair with Anoka 4-H was held January9at 6:30 PM. The next

planning meeting is February 12at 5:30 PM.
Old Business
2040 Comprehensive Plan

Chair Hansen provided an update on the December 20public hearing on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
Commissioner Hansen stated that he had reiterated the EQEC’s recommendations related to improving
pollinator habitat and water quality. He also recommended that the City incorporate adoption of a “Complete
Streets” policy into the Transportation Chapter. The commission discussed that a “Complete Streets” policy
involved incorporating other design aspects into roads besides the conveyance of cars, such as alternative
transportation, stormwater treatment, and landscaping. Ms. Workin stated that the public hearingwould be

continued on January 17and would cover the remaining chapters including Public Facilities.
