Since the Municipal Liquor Operation commenced in 1949, a total of $1,953,609 has been transferred to the General Fund for the purpose of reducing taxes. Last year's transfers of funds had the affect of reducing property taxes on a$30,000 house by$6.84. During the year 1975,two general price reductions were made. In addition, selective merchandise price cuts were made. The City presently operates two off-sale liquor stores. One is located at 6289 Highway 65 and the other at 6586 Uni- versity Avenue Northeast.
