POLICE STEP vs. DRUNK DRIVERS The Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) and the Fridley Po- lice Department are making a vigor- .a ous effort to arrest drunken drivers on �w •! our city's streets: in March and April of this year the traffic and patrol officers have made over 100 arrests for this type of crime. The Department feels strongly that -� by directing its attention towards the ji problem of the drinking driver, we will `+ help to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities in Fridley. Since the STEP Program began, there have been only two fatalities on our city's streets and highways.
