Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Frid-
ley,Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the Director of Public
Works,6431 University Avenue N.E.,Fridley,Minnesota 55432(Tel.763-
571-3554)on Friday,the 27th day of April,2018 at 11:00 a.m.,for the
furnishing of work and materials for the STONYBROOK TRUNK STORM
SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.422/SAP 002-601-053. The
project includes the following quantities:
• 1327 feet of 60"Storm Sewer
• 3120 square yard Full Depth Asphalt Reclamation
• 278 Tons Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mixture(3,B)
• 371 Tons Type SP 12.5 Non Wearing Couse Mixture(3,B)
• 821 feet 8"PVC Pipe Sewer
• 55 feet 48"Sanitary Manhole
• 9 feet Drainage Structure Design SD-96
• 9 feet Drainage Structure Design SD-108
• 86 feet Drainage Structure Design 96-4020
• 1 Energy Dissipator
• 180 square yards Articulated Block Mat Closed Cell,Type A
• 1200 feet Concrete Curb and Gutter Design 8618
• 1680 square yards of Sodding Type Lawn
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by WSB
&Associates, Inc., 701 Xenia Avenue South, Suite 300, Minneapolis,
MN 55416.
Contract documents are available for purchase via the following op-
tions:
1.Quest eBidDocTM#5675538(www.questcdn.com)
2.Paper copy including electronic format(CD)for a fee of$75.00.
3.Or electric format(e-mail or CD)for a fee of$25.00.
Contract documents may be examined at the office of the Director
of Public Works. Contract documents may be obtained by check,
cash,or credit card. Please call 763-572-3554 or email beth.kondrick@
fridleymn.gov to view or purchase contract documents.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is Tuesday,April 17th at 3:00 pm
at the City of Fridley Municipal Center,6431 University Ave.NE,Fridley,
MN 55432.
Bids shall be on the forms provided and must be made on the ba-
sis of cash payment for work, and accompanied by a cash deposit,
certified check(on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota)or a
bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota,in an amount of not less than five(5%)percent of the total
amount of the bid.
The provisions of Minn.Stat. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are
imposed as a requirement of this contract.All bidders and persons or
companies providing a response or submission to this Advertisement
for Bids shall comply with these provisions.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informality in any bids received without explanation.No bid
may be withdrawn for a period of sixty(60)days.
