ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: Sealed bid proposals will be received
in accordance with the contract documents,as prepared by Elert&As-
sociates,Inc,for:
Name of Project:AV Systems for Fridley Civic Complex/Public Works
Address of Project:7011 University Ave Northeast,Fridley,MN
The work will be accomplished with McGough Construction acting
as the Construction Manager.Scope of the work includes provision of
advanced audiovisual systems,including monitors, projectors, broad-
cast cameras and control room,web conferencing, multi-zone audio,
video-over-IP,and integrated control systems. Prior experience for this
type of project scope is required. This is a prevailing wage project.
BID TIME: Bids will be received at the office of Scott Hickok,the
City of Fridley Community Development Director until 2:00 PM CDT on
Wednesday June 20th,2018.All late bids received will be returned un-
opened to the submitter.No faxed bids will be accepted.
BID LOCATION:Sealed Bid Proposals for the"AV Systems for Frid-
ley Civic Complex/Public Works"work to be provided in accordance
with the contract documents,as prepared by Elert&Associates,will be
received at the office of Scott Hickok,the City of Fridley Community De-
velopment Director,6431 University Avenue NE,Fridley,MN 55432,until
the date and time as stated above. Bids will then be publicly opened
and read aloud.Sealed bid envelopes shall be clearly labeled with the
Bidder's Name and name of project,"AV Systems for Fridley Civic Com-
plex/Public Works".
EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS:Contract Documents may be ex-
amined in the City of Fridley offices,contact Scott Hickok,the City of
Fridley Community Development Director.
BID DOCUMENTS:Prospective bidders should contact Sandi Parr at
Elert&Associates(a True North Company)for specifications and draw-
ings. Email sandi.parr@tncg.com to request the documents.
The City of Fridley has designated its website as an alternate means
of bid notice dissemination in accordance with M.S.331A.03;current
and future bid notices can be found at http://www.fridleymn.gov/Bids.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE:All bidders shall attend a mandatory pre-
bid meeting to be held at Fridley City Hall 6431 University Avenue NE,
Fridley, MN 55432 at 2:00 PM CDT on June 12th 2018 in the Council
Chambers.
BID SECURITY:Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check,
cashier's check,or corporate surety bond in an amount equal to five
(5%)percent of the base bid,as bid security.
If awarded a contract,each successful Bidder shall be required to
furnish both Performance and Payment Bonds covering faithful perfor-
mance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising under
such contract.Such bonds shall be the latest edition of the AIA Docu-
ment A312/CM,in the amount equal to 100%payment.
The City of Fridley reserves the right to reject any or all bids received
and to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding.
Bids may not be withdrawn or modified within ninety(90)days after
the closing time and date.
