Other programs include a dinner and dance for the firefighters, sizable donations and -visits to convalescent homes, special attention to handicapped people, provide funds to cancer research and treatment. Post 363 shows great interest in theyouth of today by sponsoring about a dozen programs such as Boy Scouts, bike safety, proper firearms train- ing, numerous contests, and many sport activities . Promotion of loyalty among all people is of high interest to members of Post 363, To say that V.F.W. Post 363, along with the ladies auxiliary, is an essential and distinctive part of Fridleyy''s foundation would be undeniable. These kind of people deserve, but never ask for, a vast amount of thanks . We, the recipients, can .only hope that if the opportunity comes when our help is needed that we will be moved to be as generous as possible, Coming Cribbage Tournament Cribbage - a game born many years ago, seens to fascinate many card players . After several delays the Fridley Senior- Center did get a few players together, and several meetings were held on the grounds Just outside of the center, When the .weather turned colder a request was made of Redeemer Lutheran Church to use their activity hall; permission was granted. At Present there are about 12 people who play but the activity center could accommodate enough area for about 30 people, At the-.last session before this writing, the Reds defeated the Greens two games, one at 13 - 4, and another at 13 - 10. B' Shaw's book "Pygmalion" is of an unusual theme and when set to music made for a very amusing bit of enter- tainment. The young students must be commended for their dedication to such an endeavor as putting on a production of this kind, Long hours of rehearsal is involved; also-.the task of memorizing lines, learning gestures, p practic- ing songs, dances, and voice adaptation take u l of t p a of time. How these Young people manage to muster the courage and generate the motivation and Perserverance that a production such as My Fair Lady demands is nothing short of amazing. The fact that these young performers do accomplish such things was reflected by favorable response of their audience. It was a delightful three hours of entertainment.
