DROP IN CENTER NEWS
Square dancing opens many doors for fun and making new friends. The square dancers are
in need of more members. This is a beginner's group so it is not too late to join. Dancing
is at a 'senior' pace so the dance is fun, not tiring. The fee is $1.00 per person per
week. The time for dancing is 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Wednesday.

On Sunday, November 27th the Fridley Senior Center held its first Sunday "Senior Day"
at the Community Education Center. The Center is hoping to hold one "Senior Day" per month
on Sunday afternoons. There will not be a "Senior Day" scheduled for December due to all
the activities associated with the Christmas season. These special days include dancing,
bingo, cards, pool or just conversation.
Whist is played every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. New players are always welcome. We now
have seven tables and have room for more. Join in the fun and fellowship. There is no
better way to spend a wintery afternoon. Call the Senior Center for more information.
The 500 players are in need of more participants. They will be meeting each Wednesday
from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting November 16th. Come and
play before or after Dining. Call the Center for more information.
Cribbage will also be played every Friday at 1:30 p.m. if enough people show an
interest. This will be open play only. If interested, sign up at the Senior Center. Call
for information.
CALLIGRAPHY - Fancy Pen
Just for fun, see what you can do with fancy letters. Learn as a small group with some
who have training. The materials will be furnished by the Senior Drop In Center. If

LEAGUE CRIBBAGE
Interested in league cribbage? The first period is currently in progress. The second
period begins on January 6, 1984 and ends March 9th. In order to have a successful program,
entries should be in sectors of four people. Full particulars are on the information sheet
in the Senior Center. Registration deadline is December 16th.
BRIDGE
Bridge players are wanted starting Monday, December 5th and every week thereafter.

On ovember 17th we went to Leon's Supper Club for lunch to honor the 80 year olds.
This year there was only one - Frieda Johnson.
In December we will have our Smorgasbord Christmas party at the Church. Election of
officers will be held.
In January, we will have the installation of the new officers.
