CCM 02/10/2020 CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF FRIDLEY FEBRUARY 10, 2020 The City Council meeting for the City of Fridley was called to order by Mayor Lund at 7:03 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Lund Councilmember Ostwald Councilmember Tillberry Councilmember Eggert Councilmember Bolkcom OTHERS PRESENT: Wally Wysopal, City Manager Andrew Bigerstaff, City Attorney APPROVAL OF PROPOSED CONSENT AGENDA: APPROVAL OF CITY COUNCIL MINUTES: 1. City Council Meeting of January 27, 2020. APPROVED. NEW BUSINESS: 2. Approve Agreement for Public Safety system Manager/Administrator Services between the Joint Law Enforcement Council and the City of Fridley. APPROVED. 3. Approve Agreement of Minnesota, Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force Joint Powers Agreement. APPROVED. 4. Claims (187922 – 188070) APPROVED. ADOPTION OF PROPOSED CONSENT AGENDA: MOTION by Councilmember Eggert to adopt the proposed consent agenda as presented. Seconded by Councilmember Bolkcom. FRIDLEY CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 10, 2020 PAGE 2 UPON A VOICE VOTE, ALL VOTING AYE, MAYOR LUND DECLARED THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. OPEN FORUM, VISITORS: No one from the audience spoke. 5. Informal Status Reports Mayor Lund announced the following:  Celebration commemorating the Columbia Arena on February 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Campus. The event is free with many planned activities.  Pasta Dinner on March 1 at the Fridley Community Center from 5-7 p.m. Proceeds will fund the Fridley Police Explorer Program for youth. Tickets are $10.  Chili Cook-Off on March 6. This is a fundraiser for the Lee Carlson Center and will be held at the Embassy Suites in Brooklyn Park. Tickets are $25 or $50 for brew/chili. Visit www.leecarlsoncenter.org.  Springbrook Nature Center Foundation Annual Spring Spree on March 7 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 which includes dinner, silent auction and various activities. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Contact Springbrook Nature Center, City Hall or Mayor Lund to purchase tickets. Councilmember Bolkcom said the open house for the Mississippi Street modification meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18, from 4 – 6 p.m. at City Hall in the Fireside Room. ADJOURN: MOTION by Councilmember Ostwald to adjourn. Seconded by Councilmember Eggert.
