NOTICE OF FILING FOR 2020 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 204B.33, that a General Election will be held
in Fridley, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 for the purpose of electing candidates for the
offices listed below.
Municipal Offices
One Mayor
One Councilmember-at-Large
The filing period for these offices begins at 8:00 a.m. on May 19, 2020 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on June
2, 2020. In observance of Memorial Day, City offices will be closed May 25, 2020. Candidates for
these offices must file with the City Clerk at the Fridley Civic Campus, 7071 University Avenue NE,
Fridley, Minnesota, 55432, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
A Nomination Petition and candidate information may be obtained from the City’s web site at
www.fridleymn.gov/elections, in person at 7071 University Avenue NE, Fridley, Minnesota, 55432 or
by calling the Clerk’s office at 763-573-3523. At the time of filing, a Nomination Petition and $10.00
filing fee is required.
If a candidate wishes to withdraw, the Notice of Withdrawal must be received by the City Clerk no
later than 5:00 p.m. on June 4, 2020.
