Local Board of Appeals Requirements Collins, Roberta From:Maghrak, Pat Sent:Friday, January 22, 2021 9:45 AM To:Collins, Roberta Cc:Moore, Melissa; Tienter, Daniel Subject:RE: Certificate for board of review Hello Roberta, Minnesota law requires at least one voting member of a Board of Appeal and Equalization to successfully complete this training once every four years. This online training will be available until 5 p.m. on February 1, 2021. The training is good for four years. There must be at least one member at each meeting who has completed the course. I really appreciate your assistance with this. They still need to be monitored to assure that we have a proper number of them current so I will have to try that area of Laserfiche to see if I have access to it. -----Original Message----- From: Collins, Roberta <Roberta.Collins@fridleymn.gov> Sent: Friday, January 22, 2021 9:06 AM To: Maghrak, Pat <Pat.Maghrak@fridleymn.gov>; Tienter, Daniel <Daniel.Tienter@fridleymn.gov>; Moore, Melissa <Melissa.Moore@fridleymn.gov> Subject: RE: Certificate for board of review Hi there. Since Deb left, I have been scanning the certificates into Laserfiche under City Council/Local Board of Appeal & Equalization and also putting a copy in their personnel files. I would be happy to take this on but would need training on where to access their status. From my perspective, the City Assessor should track and remind the City Council about the training needs, since they are specifically for the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization. I copied Pat on this e-mail to get his thoughts.
