Resolution No. 2022-45
Approving Appointment to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Whereas, the City of Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) was established in 1965
pursuant to Minnesota Statute (M.S) 469.003; and
Whereas, M.S 469.003 subd. 6 requires the Mayor of cities with a HRA to appoint commissioners if a
vacancy exists; and
Whereas, M.S 469.003 subd. 6 also requires the governing body of cities with a HRA to approve such
appointments; and
Whereas, the City of Fridley was notified of an upcoming a vacancy on the City’s HRA beginning June
3, 2022; and
Whereas, four individuals expressed an interest in being appointed to the HRA and met with the
Fridley City Council (Council) on April 11, 2022; and
Whereas, in its deliberations the Council determined Troy Brueggemeier should be appointed to the
HRA.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the Mayor of the City of Fridley hereby appoints Troy
Brueggemeier to the HRA for a term expiring December 31, 2022.
Be it further resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley approves the appointment of Troy
Brueggemeier to the HRA for a term expiring December 31, 2022.
