Subject:Appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission
Congratulations! Last night, the City Council appointed you to the Parks and Recreation Commission. You will be
completing the remaining term of a member who has resigned. Your term will commence on July 1, 2022, and run
through December 31, 2022. Thereafter, you will be reappointed for three-year terms if you want to continue to be on
the commission. I will check with you closer to the end of this year to make sure you want to be reappointed.
Please note that the Parks and Recreation Commission will not be meeting in July. The commission meets the first
Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (second level) of the Fridley Civic Campus. Here are the
remaining meeting dates for 2022: June 6, August 1, September 6, October 3, November 7, and December 5.
Mike Maher, Director of Community Services, is the staff liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission. He will be
contacting you with more information regarding the commission.
