Resolution No. 2022-82 MPCA Planning Grant Resolution No. 2022-82 Authorizing a MPCA Planning Grant for Stormwater, Wastewater, and Community Resilience for the 73rd Avenue Corridor Study Whereas, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) recently developed a grant program for community resilience planning of stormwater and wastewater infrastructure; and Whereas, the City of Fridley recognizes the opportunities to provide resilient infrastructure throughout the community with the planning tools that this program intends to fund; and rd Whereas, staff has sought a suitable project and found that the future planning of the 73 Avenue Corridor from University Avenue to Central Avenue provides both an area of need due to flooding and an area of opportunity due to the possible corridor configurations; and rd Whereas, staff applied for and received a grant of $39,090.00 through this program for the 73 Avenue Corridor Study; Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby authorizes the execution of a Grant Contract with the State of Minnesota for Stormwater, Wastewater, and Community Resilience Planning for the 73rd Avenue Corridor, attached as Exhibit A. th Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 11 day of July, 2022. _______________________________________ Scott J.
