Resolution No. 2022-86 Confirming Organizational Structure Resolution No. 2022-86 Confirming the Organizational Structure of the City of Fridley Whereas, Section 6.03 of the Fridley City Charter empowers the City Council (Council) to create offices, departments, divisions and bureaus for the administration of City affairs; and Whereas, Section 2.02 of the Fridley City Code authorizes the City Manager to develop and maintain the organizational structure that best meets the needs of the City; and Whereas, the Council must confirm the organizational structure as recommended by the City Manager by resolution; and Whereas, due to staffing changes in the Communications and Engagement Division, the City Manager recommends creating the role of City Clerk/Communications Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing the City Clerk, Elections, and Communications and Engagement Divisions; and Whereas, due to changes to the City Clerk/Communications Manager’s roles and responsibilities the City Manager recommends creating the role of Deputy City Clerk; and Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby approves and confirms the recommendation of the City Manager regarding the organizational structure of the City as described effective July 25, 2022. Be it further resolved that pursuant to Section 6.02 of the City Charter, the City Clerk/Communications Manager is appointed as the Acting City Manager to serve in the City Manager’s absence, or as requested. th Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 25 day of July, 2022. _______________________________________ Scott J.
